We create extra work for ourselves

If we picked up behind ourselves, washed our dishes immediately, and kept little tasks done, big jobs                   would never become a problem. (And we would never have that little jolt that moves us into high gear when we are faced with something unexpected  and we prove to ourselves that indeed we are “superhuman”.)

Traditions

Traditions create family warmth and close family relationship.

They give a feeling of belonging to family members as well as

a sense of security. Why not start some new family traditions

while you celebrate the Thanksgiving Holidays.

Nagging Negatives

 Ever have nagging negative thoughts?

These can be stopped if we are persistent.

Replace worrisome thoughts by saying,

“I have the power to make today a good

day, and I choose to look for the good.”

Remember, it is your life that you will change.

HOPE

One of the most exciting emotions we can experience.

Judge others as though you were blind. Then judge only on their actions toward others.

This one made me think this morning. The bible tell us in Matthew 7:2 “Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you."

When new people come into our lives it's natural to size them up. Often we are blinded by things we perceive as pretty and fail to truly see the person. We are easily impressed by what others possess or by the current spot light shining upon them. Before welcoming someone new into your life with open arms stop, close your eyes and listen to what they say.What are the traits they like about their friends and family?  Does this person speak highly of others? Or is this person always the victim? Do they access blame or claim part of the blame? If they can't say a nice thing about anyone run, this person is toxic with negativity and self pity.

What do they spend their time doing? What do they value? Things or people? 

I seek people who express love for family and friends. Who proudly do things for others without any consideration of return in kind. The kind of people I want to introduce to my Momma.
